Very nice guest house near the subway station. there is not many things to do in the neighborhood but the staff is very helpful. Possibility to rent towel for 50Y and to rent a plug adaptator for free (only 1000Y deposit)
can't go out at night in the neighborhood but as the subway is really close the the GH it is ok.

Cheap and very helpful staff. The other travelers staying at the hotel were fairly respectful, no one came in super late making a bunch of noise or anything. Really just a very nice place to just have a bed top sleep in.
The sleeping pad was pretty thin. Not the most comfortable thing ever, but still slept well each night.

very friendly and helpful staff with fluent english, nice common area.
the rooms are very loud, mainly due to the wooden capsules, which make loud noises every time someone moves.

Loved the animation along the corridor walls. The theme of the hostel is well drawn out. The capsules we stayed in were decent clean. The service was great! The receptionist was extremely friendly when helping us figure out how to get to the next part of our trip (even though it was quite late at night - thank you!) The common room downstairs has a cool mini-pachinko machine to teach tourists how to play :)
The shower ceiling could be a little cleaner. But overall, the whole place was kept very tidy and clean.

The Hostel is located in very close to the Main JR Station, so travelers with JR Pass need not shell out money for travel. The staff where helpful and they had a person in night shift to help us with information.
The rooms where dingy and smelly.

Capsules made of wood were very noisy when climbing up or just turning side while you were sleeping.

closeness to JR station + wifi internet
really overpriced, especially for hostel - we stayed in the twin room shared bathroom, I have never seen in any hostel or hotel so dirty and crapy room. And it stinked sooo much that we were almost not able to stay there. Later we found for almost the same price hotel that was ten times better even with daily room service (towels, complete bath amenities, room and bed cleaning) and private bath. WE chose Khaosan because of the great references, maybe if you travel alone and stay in the dorm for meeting people. But do not expect anything fro private rooms

Very friendly staff and are good with English. Hostel super clean and good facilities. Nicely themed not overdone. Nice and relativly young visitors and to make friends in the comfortable lounge/kitchen. Free koffee and tea. Capsule beds are good. Great hostel and already recommended it to friends.
The public computers are very old, but workable for simple things.
